Refurbished Laptops

The used laptops that are available to on the various resellers websites are refurbished.  Now there are different ranges of refurbishment which needs to be addressed.  Each company selling used laptops as refurbished on the internet has their own definition of refurbished.  We found this website which also talks about refurbished laptops.  In general, however, there are basically two types of refurbished laptops.  The factory refurb and then just a refurbed laptop. 

Factory refurbished laptops are laptops that have been reconditioned by the manufacturer.  In general these laptops were either leased by the manufacturer and they have come back in or they are customer returns that the manufacturer has reconditioned.  These laptops are the best ones to purchase if you are looking for used laptops that are like brand new.  They are usually reboxed and include a factory warranty.  Keep in mind that these type refurbished laptops will be more expensive.

The other type of refurbishment is when the reseller purchases a lot of used laptops from either a wholesaler or leasing company and does the repairs on their own.  The quality that you get from these type purchases will depend on the reliability and integrity of the company you are purchasing from.  We like this used laptops dealer.  Get references and check into what kind of quality you will be receiving.
